
Apr. 9—The Priceville Police Department and the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office assisted the North Alabama Drug Task Force in the arrest of a Huntsville man on Friday following a months-long narcotics investigation, according to the Huntsville Police Department.
Huntsville police said Robert Young, 39, is being charged with trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl and was transported to Madison County Jail with a bond set at $1.25 million for both charges.
Priceville police officers responded to a BOLO (be on the lookout) alert for a vehicle Young was driving, according to Huntsville police, and after locating his vehicle and initiating a traffic stop, a K-9 alerted officers to the presence of narcotics.
Police said after a search yielded 2 kilograms of cocaine, three search warrants were served across Huntsville and Limestone County. They said after the warrants were issued, 1.3 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.03 pounds of fentanyl, $8,000 in cash, and three handguns were recovered.
Young will also face additional charges of trafficking cocaine in Morgan County and trafficking fentanyl in Limestone County, according to the Huntsville Police Department.
